Well, actually...I used to say my hobby was bird watching, because I used to bird watch quite a bit with my mom, but it's been so long since I did it regularly, that I can hardly call it my hobby anymore.
I don't think I really have a hobby so much anymore. I mean, I like to read, but I don't really do it enough to call it a hobby either. I think when I'm out of the Navy, I might get back in to bird watching...so I suppose that bird watching is still my hobby in my heart.
There's something about just sitting and relaxing with a pair of binoculars in your hand, looking for birds...I can't really put it into words. I just love doing it...try not to make fun of me, okay?

One winter I wrote down every kind of bird I saw at our feeders each day. My family probably thought I was crazy! :)
